It's Just White Noise
Slamming doors,
Voices so loud
You can practically feel
Their throat giving up
Broken vase, broken chairs
I wonder when it all stops
But it never does
Even when its long gone
Though I'm far away
I wake up in the night
Trembling from the sight
My nightmares, my premonition
Intuition or depression?
I can barely recognize my own self
Yet here I am, 3:54 A.M.
Wide awake, jotting down
All the memories of how
My world came crumbling down
That October night
What a pity, couldn't it wait a day
It was my fucking birthday
So I still blame myself
Five years past and I wish
I could make myself believe
It's just white noise
Not your reality now.
